Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how VoyaTravel (“VoyaTravel,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).

VoyaTravel helps users organize travel plans, reservations, documents, memories, messages, and related trip information. Because this may involve sensitive travel details, we are committed to handling your information carefully and transparently.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy and our User Agreement.

1. Our role

VoyaTravel is responsible for determining how personal information is processed through the Services. For questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, you may contact us at privacy@voyatravel.ai.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and information imported or forwarded by you.

A. Information you provide directly

Account details. When you create or manage an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, password, phone number, home city, preferred airport, and other profile details. Passwords are not stored in plain text.

User-generated content. You may add trip notes, messages, memories, photos, videos, comments, direct messages, shared content, or other information within the Services.

Uploaded documents. If you choose to upload files to your document vault, we may store documents such as identification files, passports, tickets, travel confirmations, or similar materials. Certain document vault features may be protected through device biometrics or a backup passcode.

Location sharing. When you enable live location sharing with a travel companion, we process your location information for the period during which sharing is active. You may disable location sharing at any time through the relevant controls.

B. Travel information you import or forward

You may forward booking emails to your personal VoyaTravel inbox address or connect supported calendar feeds. When you do, we receive and process the relevant contents so we can create and maintain your trip information.

This may include flight details, hotel reservations, train bookings, rental cars, event reservations, dates, locations, prices, confirmation numbers, traveler names, and other information contained in the forwarded or imported content.

C. Information collected automatically

Usage information. We may collect information about how you interact with the Services, including pages visited, features used, actions taken, error logs, and other diagnostic information.

Device and technical information. We may collect device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, language settings, and similar technical information.

Cookies and local storage. We use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, improve performance, and support essential service functionality.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including to:

  • Create and organize itineraries from forwarded emails, calendar feeds, and reservation information.
  • Provide trip-related features such as alerts, destination summaries, reminders, sharing, document storage, memories, and messaging.
  • Send account, verification, security, transactional, and service-related communications.
  • Maintain account security, prevent abuse, detect suspicious activity, and investigate potential violations of our terms.
  • Improve the reliability, usability, and performance of the Services.
  • Develop and refine features based on how users interact with the Services.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, safety, and property of VoyaTravel, our users, and others.

4. Use of AI and automated processing

Some VoyaTravel features use artificial intelligence to help interpret travel information, extract reservation details, summarize destinations, enrich trip content, or provide other service functionality.

For these purposes, we may send limited relevant content to trusted AI service providers, currently including NVIDIA, Groq, and Anthropic. These providers process information on our behalf under contractual obligations and are not permitted to use your information to train their models.

We limit AI processing to the information reasonably necessary for the requested feature. For example, we may process the text of a booking email or a destination name. We do not send your password or document vault files to AI providers for these purposes.

5. How we disclose personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose personal information only in the circumstances described below.

People you choose to share with. When you invite a travel companion, share a trip, send a public link, or otherwise choose to disclose information through the Services, the recipients may access the information you make available to them.

Service providers. We work with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, including hosting providers, file storage providers, email delivery services, analytics and diagnostics tools, security vendors, and AI processing providers. These parties may access personal information only as needed to provide services to us and are required to protect it.

Legal, safety, and enforcement purposes. We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests; enforce our agreements; investigate abuse or security issues; or protect the rights, property, and safety of VoyaTravel, our users, or the public.

Business transactions. If VoyaTravel is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy that provides comparable protection.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to support core functionality, including authentication, session management, security, language preferences, currency preferences, and saved interface choices.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may affect certain features or require you to sign in again.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active or as long as needed to provide the Services.

When you delete your account, we deactivate it and begin removing your personal information, trips, documents, memories, and related content within a reasonable period. Some limited information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, or maintain security.

Backup copies are deleted on a rolling schedule according to our backup retention practices.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, optional email two-factor authentication, and protected document vault features.

No online service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, we work to maintain appropriate safeguards and improve our security practices over time.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

Account access and updates. You can access, update, or correct certain account and profile information through your account settings.

Content controls. You can manage trips, notes, memories, documents, messages, and sharing settings within the Services.

Account deletion. You may delete your account through Account → Danger Zone. Account deletion permanently removes your trips, documents, memories, and other account content, subject to the limited retention described in this policy.

Communications. We send service-related communications, such as verification codes, security notices, and important account messages. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Regional privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or other jurisdictions, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing.

To exercise applicable rights, contact us at privacy@voyatravel.ai.

10. Children’s privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International data transfers

We may process, store, and transfer personal information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

12. Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. For material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as through the Services or by email.

Your continued use of the Services after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised policy.
